SAP cloud good for Microsoft

T-Systems appears to lead the charge to moving SAP customers to the cloud and oddly enough this is great news for Microsoft.
Here is a map of T-Systems and below is the why it’s good for Microsoft.
- SAP users depend on access to ‘data puddles’ that are by-products of SAP ERP, BW, Business Objects or Sybase
- Taking the reports to the cloud forces the users to use cloud technology
- Excel Services and SharePoint or event Excel2010 and Access will reliably help SAP users today
There are many users of Excel and Access that can be trained quickly to minimize the expected increase in reporting costs and actually decrease license costs of legacy Business Intelligence and reporting systems without forcing upgrade cost.
