Brands, Buy Buttons and Masks

The ‘Buy Button’ is the marketers equivalent of the Easy Button…find it and press it and your customer will buy.

Now, like sharks smelling blood, academics are flooding into the ‘dicipline’ of studing the brain.  Some are honest and others…well they want to provide the ‘Buy Buttons’.

Here is an example of a recent presentation, which I have no doubt is honest and sincere–“The Joint Representation of the Emotions and Actions in the Cerebral Hemispheres”   It is interesting to note that marketers use the same words to describe what they do in using fMRI

If branding is finding a buy button then programmers can just build one, at $20/hour or less, probably at or other such places.
